Some of the key components which should feature in an ideal checklist while assessing any school infrastructure are as follows:

CIPS brings it all together and ensures that the school has ample safety standards and facilities to make learning a joy.

TRANSPORTATION

CIPS is connected to all corners of Nagpur city by the virtue of its vast fleet of school buses. We provide cost effective, safe transportation of our students. To ensure the safety of students each bus is provided with a teacher in-charge and a lady conductor who will make sure that students board and alight safely from the first pick-up point to the last point of the school bus.
         Transport will be available taking into account the number of children from a particular area wishing to use the school bus facility. In case the school transport is not available, parents will have to make their own arrangements. Rates charged by the school will not be subject to any change and requests for the same will not be entertained. Students are expected to maintain discipline at all times while using school transport. Violence, shouting, distracting the driver, standing in the moving vehicle are strictly prohibited. Unruly behaviour will lead to disciplinary action and may result in withdrawal of transport facility.

Bus Rules

Some ground bus rules have been laid down for the safety of children and to maintain discipline:

  • 1. All students using the school bus are expected to be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
  • 2. Buses will not wait for the late comers.
  • 3. Children are advised to stay away from the main road till the bus arrives.
  • 4. No student should come near the entry/exit door of the bus till it has come to a complete halt.
  • 5. All students must occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding their buses.
  • 6. The front door of the bus is the only authorized entry and exit to the bus.
  • 7. The drivers are authorized to stop buses at the designated stops only. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience & safety of all bus commuters and is subject to change from time to time.
  • 8. When the bus is in motion, students must not move around and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
  • 9. Objects of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
  • 10. Students will be held responsible for any damage to the bus caused by an act of negligence or vandalism by them.
  • 11. No student is allowed to eat in the bus.
  • 12. Unruly behaviour like shrieking and shouting is strictly prohibited.
  • 13. The driver's attention must not be distracted at any cost.

LABORATORY

Learning while gaining hands-on experience of the topic changes the whole way how your child grasps the topic. At CIPS we have created laboratories for every purpose where students understand in better way topics such as- language, science, mathematics and computers. These laboratories are a great way of application of in-class content.

a) Language Laboratory

Our school has special language laboratories where students sharpen their verbal and written skills. Regular practice sessions under language teachers are conducted where students improve their vocabulary and fluency through interaction with their peers. We also have computer based language laboratories where students learn English speaking from native English speaking tutors.

b) Science Laboratory

Science as a subject requires a total practical approach. CIPS has fully equipped and spacious science laboratories in adherence with CBSE safety guidelines. Laboratories are designed with modern equipment, updated charts and specimen to help your child understand what they learn in their classes. Pre-planned curriculum based on CBSE syllabus is used to provide students with a more hands-on experience.

c) Mathematics Laboratory

Mathematics laboratory at our school help students learn problem solving skills. Exercises for the laboratory are meticulously designed for each class which is undertaken by experienced teachers. The laboratory makes students apply mathematical principles to solve real world problems through specially designed tasks.

COMPUTER LAB

Everything runs on computers these days. To give your children the computer advantage we have a fully equipped computer laboratory. It has numerous computers and is updated with Windows 8. Applications such as Microsoft Office, C/C++, HTML, Adobe Photoshop and Flash are available. Specially trained tutors conduct regular classes based on CBSE curriculum and provide students with the opportunity of learning-by-doing through various school projects and co-curricular activities. All computers have internet access.

LIBRARY

The library at CIPS houses an extensive collection of books, periodicals and news papers that cater to all age groups in the school. Currently we have subscriptions to over 30 periodicals (magazines, journals, and newspapers). The library currently has a collection of more than 10,000 books covering various categories, languages and subjects. The collection is growing every year due to the book purchase program in the school and due to contributions from faculty, children, and parents. Such contributions are always welcome at CIPS.

Library Rules:

  • All staff and students are members of the library.
  • Strict silence should be observed in the library.
  • Marking, underlining or damage to the books is strictly prohibited.
  • Reference books cannot be taken out of the library.
  • Books that are damaged or wrongly handled will have to be paid for or replaced at the cost by the parent.
